What is your process?
Our services are highly customized based on the specific needs of each client. In general, the process works as follows: we download claims from our client, examine the claims for completeness, scan all supporting documentation, including medical records, into our system, send out bills, perform a diligent follow-up on all claims regardless of dollar value, and reconcile all payments received with the client's accounting system. Within that process, however, there are hundreds of places where we customize each step to each client's particular needs.

How does your performance compare to other vendors?
Quite simply, our performance is unsurpassed. We consistently recover a higher percentage of your claims, consistently charge a lower fee for our services, and remain easier to work with. To see an example of our performance, click on this case study.

Can you prove it to me?
Yes, we can. Contact Patrick McDonough at (800) 722-1555 Ext. 221 or fill out an information request form by clicking on the "Contact" icon on the left to find out how.

How do you receive claims?
We typically receive claims electronically, but can handle claims in paper form. We are also able to either receive a file that has been transmitted via a HIPAA-secure ftp transfer site or we can download claims directly from a client's accounting system.

Do you ever contact patients?
We contact patients only to gather information and only with our client's approval.

Do you have accurate state rates?
Yes. Our rates are always up-to date and have been deemed accurate in arbitration hearings. To see the effects of having accurate rates, click here to view a case study.

How will I know what you're doing for me?
This is one of our favorite questions. First, you will have contact with a designated Client Service Manager. Second, you will receive quarterly (or monthly, if you prefer) reports of claims placed with ProMedical and status of those claims. Third, we have the ability to automatically script all of our work notes into your system on a daily basis. This means that at any point in the process, if you receive a call from a patient inquiring about their claim, you will know exactly where it stands in the process and exactly what we have done to recover payment.

Why should I outsource these claims?
Many hospitals are concerned with outsourcing Workers' Compensation and Motor Vehicle claims because they're not sure what benefits they will experience. A few of the most important are the access to world-class capabilities, an improved business focus, a redirection of resources and above all, headache relief.

What is the fee for your service?
Because of the fixed costs involved, our fees are largely dependent upon the volume of claims we receive on a monthly basis. Please contact us to learn more about our rates for your specific facility.
